Leadership & Vision at Seattle Clinical Research Center

At SCRC, we believe that deep site relationships, operational excellence, and scientific integrity are the foundations of transformative clinical research.

Our team is made of long-time collaborators who share a unified mission: to run smarter, patient-centric clinical trials.

Investigators

  • Co-Medical Director

    Dr. Rebecca Dunsmoor-Su completed medical school and earned her Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania. She then completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is a North American Menopause Society certified menopause practitioner, a fellow of ACOG and is a practicing Board Certified OBGYN.

    Dr. Dunsmoor-Su moved to Seattle in 2005 to take a position as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington. While there she was a clinician and educator, as well as the director of the resident research program. In 2013 she moved to an inpatient obstetrics and gynecology position at Swedish Medical Center and started to build her menopause focused practice. She is also the Chief Medical Officer at Gennev.

  • Principal Investigator

    Dr. Sonja Krejci is a dermatologist that has practiced in Seattle since 2006. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She completed her medical education at the University of Washington and residencies in Pediatrics and Dermatology at the University of Washington Health Sciences Center. She has practiced at Minor and James Medical, The Polyclinic and Westside Dermatology. Dr. Krejci is currently an Investigator on Phase II-IV clinical trials at Seattle Clinical Research Center, overseeing our dermatology studies as Principal Investigator. She is excited to use her extensive clinical experience and knowledge to continue our research center’s expansion into dermatology and other therapeutic areas.

  • Co-Medical Director

    Dr. Ehrhardt earned her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in 2002, completing her training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She served as an endocrinologist in the U.S. Army, including a deployment as a general medical officer in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After her military service, Dr. Ehrhardt joined the Medical Faculty Associates at George Washington University in Washington, DC, before moving to The Diabetes Institute at the University of Washington in 2020.

    Dr. Ehrhardt has a strong interest in lifestyle changes and multidisciplinary strategies for disease management in both clinical care and research. She is a certified Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) trainer. At UW, her research has focused on the use of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and investigating how GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RA) may lower stroke risk. Dr. Ehrhardt is also dedicated to promoting inclusion in research and received a grant from the American Diabetes Association to address healthcare disparities within the Latino community. Furthermore, she served as the director of the UW Cardiometabolic ECHO which supports the management of complex diabetes, obesity, and cardiometabolic diseases through education of local primary care providers.

    Dr. Ehrhardt is dedicated to caring for patients with diabetes and metabolic disorders and advocates for integrating technology, pharmacology, and holistic health education to enhance outcomes for those living with diabetes, obesity, and related conditions. She is excited to bring her years of research and clinical practice to the Seattle Clinical Research Center.

  • Dr. Sima Kahn has practiced as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist in Seattle since 1983. She is certified and recertified annually by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has both inpatient and outpatient experience, including pregnancy delivery, providing prenatal care, outpatient gynecologic care and performing gynecologic surgery. She received her specialty training at the University of Iowa in 1987, has also been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is certified as a Menopause Clinician by the North American Menopause Society. Dr. Kahn is also a member of the National Association of Healthcare Advocacy, and Health AdvocateX.

    Dr. Sima Kahn and Dr. Kroll previously worked together at North Seattle Women’s Group, and Dr. Kahn worked at Group Health Cooperative from 1991-2008. In addition to working at Seattle Clinical Research Center as a clinical research Investigator, Dr. Kahn is the founder and owner of HealthCare Advocacy Consultant, LLC. As a consultant, she provides healthcare advocacy to assist patients navigating the healthcare system.

  • Medical Director Emeritus

    Robin Kroll is our founding physician and Medical Director Emeritus.  She serves as consultant and advisor to our current directors and staff.

    Dr. Robin Kroll is recognized as a leader in women’s healthcare.  She founded our research center in 1994. She is certified and recertified annually by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Kroll holds additional certification as a Menopause Clinician from the North American Menopause Society. Her special interests include menopause, vulvar disorders, and female sexual dysfunction.

    Dr. Robin Kroll is a member of numerous professional societies including the North American Menopause Society. She has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health.
